Sons of Kemet
They’re not 80s, not rock, but who cares? In San Francisco we got to see Sons of Kemet, which I’ve wanted to do since hearing Your Queen is a Reptile (2018) during the pandemic (thanks Jason). (For the record, not for the pandemic.) (For the record, Jason did not cause the pandemic.)
They’re a sax/clarinet player, two drum kits, and a tuba; they play propulsive, heavy afrobeat jazz. They’re from England. I don’t know much more than that. Check them out below, and if you happen to git lucky and they come to your town, go see them. Great band.
That’s it for now! Hope you’re doing great.
peace out
