Music of the Eighties will be a weekly comic strip - autobiographical, loosely structured, kinda meta - exploring life and music between 1980 and 1990 (and the ages of 10 and 20).
Each strip will be accompanied by a relevant song, unavailable in the Facebook posts. That’s mostly why you want this.

Music of the Eighties Song o’ the Week
Joe Dolce’s Shaddup You Face was released in 1980. It was a novelty song that became a little controversial in Sarnia, where Italians were the big group after “white.” I have a memory of hearing it discussed on the radio while doing a Saturday morning trip to the Dump with my father. Ahh. Memories. The Dump! Identity-based controversies! Terrible Joke Songs that just work!
Correction: I spelled the title wrong in the strip. It’s “Shaddap You Face” -not “Shaddupa You Face.”
