My first bluetooth headphones were the on-ear type, which I had never worn before. One day I leaned over the big cat water bowl. They fell straight in and sank. After drying them out, the headphones worked but I could hear a scratchy sound on one side. So I bought new ones. Years later, I charged the dunked pair again and what do you know, the scratchy sound was gone! It took a very long time for the insides to completely dry. I wonder if you let your iPad sit around for a couple of months, it might dry enough to work again. In the meantime, just move on to the next topic.
Have you checked your iCloud folders? Maybe you DID have a backup.
I had it set up incorrectly… i has saved a bunch of stuff on my own but did loose stuff. A lesson. Several lessons. 😜
